I am a trained rifle coach, and I have trained youths ranging from Boy Scouts to High Schoolers participating in shooting teams in the use of firearms.

I have also seen what happens when 18-year-olds are unsupervised with weapons. It all-too-often ends in tears, broken hearts, and broken homes.

Permitless carry makes it easy for young people to access firearms. It discourages training and the serious handling of firearms. It puts women at greater risk of domestic violence, and law enforcement officers at greater risk of being shot in the line of duty.
